Governance of agriculture and food security

The energy sector is emerging as one of the strategic diplomatic vehicles for engagement among the EAC states but also between the EAC and other countries.

The emerging landscape for energy governance including the development of major hydro-electricity resources has the potential to create a new discourse on the socio-economic development agenda within the EAC but also enable EAC countries deal with climate change, which is one of the most contemporary public policy challenges facing the sub-region.

This program therefore seeks to put a focus on the developments in the energy sector and how these developments will shape climate change and climate finance policies in the Sub-region.
